Aaron Haase, President

Aaron has been a highly regarded member of the Twin Cities inspection community since 2015. Not only is he an outstanding leader, he is also a home inspector, TISH evaluator, licensed in Wisconsin, and he is looking forward to expanding Heartland’s growth into commercial inspections.  Aaron lives in Hugo with his wife and two daughters.

Brett Cook

Brett Cook, Certified Inspector/CE Instructor

Brett Cook is a nationally certified ASHI and InterNACHI inspector who has inspected thousands Twin Cities homes. He has an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of  housing and makes his clients feel comfortable throughout the process. He’s worked as a remodeler, construction project manager, Realtor, State energy auditor, and principal in a home inspection company. Brett and his wife Sherry have four children. His personal interests include fishing, motorcycle touring, wilderness canoe camping, and skiing.

Nick Koenig, Certified Inspector

Nick Koenig is a nationally certified ASHI and InterNACHI inspector with 15+ years in the business. He’s a licensed contractor and former real estate agent and has managed over 50 residential rehab projects. Nick’s complete understanding of homes, attention to detail and ability to translate complex house details in understandable terms make him a reliable inspector who’s schedule is always full. His hobbies include motorcycles, computers, woodworking and RC airplanes. Nick and his wife have two active sons.

Matt Karr, Certified Inspector

Matt Karr is a natural in this business – a nationally certified ASHI and InterNACHI inspector who’s spent his entire career in residential housing. Dan Jones, Certified Inspector

Dan Jones is a nationally certified ASHI and InterNACHI inspector with 10+ years of experience in construction and home repair. His diverse background in all areas of residential housing also includes work in environmental conservation and agriculture. Clients and agents frequently mention Dan’s attention to detail and calm approach to inspecting. He and his wife are kept busy by their two young daughters and are often out exploring the local lakes and natural areas.

Dave Anderson

Dave Anderson, Certified Inspector

Dave Anderson is a nationally certified ASHI and InterNACHI inspector with over 25 years residential housing experience. Before joining Heartland where he inspects homes of all sizes and ages, he worked in the insurance industry and traveled the U.S. working with home owners affected by natural disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey.

DC Patton, Home Inspector

He is a certified InterNACHI inspector with a keen knowledge of homes and buildings, based on his 20+ years of experience as a contractor, carpenter, and handyman.

Originally from Colorado, he began his career working in homes and with homeowners at the age of 15. He started his own lawn maintenance and snow removal business, operating out of his 1972 Chevy panel van! He has since developed his natural propensity for technicalities and his love for people into a successful career as a home inspector.

DC recently moved to Stillwater with his wife, son, dog Hippo and their rescue cats. He is an avid fly fisherman, traveler, self-proclaimed antique connoisseur, and a lover of all things outdoors.

Seth Senear, Home Inspector

Seth is a certified InterNACHI inspector with over a decade of experience in residential and commercial construction and remodeling. Prior to Heartland he built and remodeled homes of all sizes and ages. He brings extensive knowledge to every inspection from hands-on experience. Outside of Heartland he is an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, you will often find him in the garage working on the next project.

Zoe Liss

Zoe Liss, Director of Operations

Always here to help, Zoe’s been with Heartland for over 5 years. Before joining Heartland, she worked as a company manager, for an environmentally friendly cleaning company, in Portland, Oregon. Dedicated to the details, Zoe strives to keep Heartland running efficiently for our clients and team. She focuses on developing new procedures and maintaining alignment within our organization as well as our external impact. A strategic planner focused on team health and the organization’s future. When she’s not working, she enjoys photography, painting, and studying business.
Pat Larson

Pat Larson, Inspector / Tech Services Manager

Pat Larson works closely with our inspectors to ensure they are prepared to do what they do best – perform home inspections that deliver a 5-star experience. His responsibilities include team communication, training, equipment, field support and coordination with our client care team. Pat also coordinates our ancillary services and performs sewer scopes and chimney inspections. Before joining Heartland in 2019, Pat spent 5 years inspecting and repairing sewer lines. You’ll find him cooking, fishing, and camping in his spare time.
